I haven’t really given much thought to travel themes or photography themes. I’ve been happy just clicking away and documenting my adventures. So coming up with something to contribute to Ailsa’s weekly theme on her blog Where’s My Backpack has been a challenge.
Another thing I’ve realized is that decoration is everywhere and is a very broad subject. So for my first selection I offer some architectural decoration as illustrated by this detail from the Queen Anne Cottage located at the Los Angeles Arboretum. I like the stripes and dots.
Not far from the Arboretum is the Huntington Library and Botanic Gardens. Last December the Rose Garden was decorated with laterns.

My last decoration is a set of masks or faces from above a store called Vintage in Claremont, California.
